Puppy Information & Pricing
Puppy Pricing & Reservation
Beginning in 2026, the total cost for a Salt Lake Goldens puppy with AKC Limited Registration will be $3,500.
We will honor our previous price of $3,000 for families who joined the Master Waitlist prior to January 1, 2026, through the end of December 2026.
Prices are subject to change and may vary depending on stud fees and other costs associated with planning each litter.
A $500 non-refundable reservation fee is required to secure a spot on a litter. The remaining balance is due when puppies reach 7 weeks of age.
Transportation, if needed, is not included in the puppy price and is the responsibility of the buyer. Transportation costs will vary depending on the method and destination.
How Our Puppies Are Raised
Our puppies are raised in our home and follow a structured early development program designed to build confidence and resilience.
During their first 8 weeks puppies are introduced to:
• Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
• Early Scent Introduction (ESI)
• 10-step puppy handling exercises
• Introduction to crate training
• Exposure to new sounds, surfaces, and enrichment items
• Socialization with people, animals, and new experiences
These early experiences help prepare puppies to transition smoothly into their new homes at 8 weeks of age.
Puppy Selection Process
One of the most important parts of what we do is making sure each puppy goes to the right home.
Instead of choosing puppies based only on color or pick order, we spend the first several weeks getting to know each puppy’s personality. Some puppies are bold and adventurous, some are more easygoing and cuddly, and some are naturally very focused and driven.
At the same time, we get to know our families — their lifestyle, activity level, experience with dogs, and what they hope to do with their puppy.
Using all of this information, we carefully match each puppy with the home where we believe they will thrive the most. Our goal is always to create the best long-term fit for both the puppy and the family.
Puppy selection and placement take place after temperament testing and the puppies’ first veterinary exam are complete, typically between 7–8 weeks of age.
While we absolutely take preferences into consideration, we do make the final decision on puppy placement so that every puppy and family has the best possible start together.

Our Commitment to Responsible Breeding
Our goal is to help preserve and improve the Golden Retriever breed through thoughtful and responsible breeding practices.
When planning a litter, we prioritize health, temperament, structure, and true Golden Retriever breed type. We follow the health testing recommendations established by the Golden Retriever Club of America and our breeding dogs complete the recommended clearances which include hips, elbows, heart, eyes, and genetic screening.
All puppies are placed with AKC Limited Registration, meaning they are intended to be loved family companions. In select cases, Full Registration may be considered for approved homes involved in conformation or performance events and that follow GRCA health testing recommendations and responsible breeding practices.
We believe responsible breeding also includes honesty, transparency, continued education, and lifelong support for the families who welcome one of our puppies into their homes.
Our goal is not simply to produce puppies, but to thoughtfully raise and place Golden Retrievers who will thrive for years to come.
Lifetime Support & Commitment
When you bring home a Salt Lake Goldens puppy, you become part of our extended family. We are always happy to answer questions and provide guidance throughout your dog’s life.
Our responsibility to the puppies we produce does not end when they leave our home. Following the principles encouraged by the Golden Retriever Club of America we believe responsible breeders remain accountable for the dogs they produce for their entire lifetime.
If at any point you are no longer able to keep your Salt Lake Goldens dog, we ask that you contact us right away. Life circumstances can change, and we are here to help. We will always take back or assist in safely rehoming any dog we have bred, regardless of age, so that none of our dogs ever end up in a shelter.
Our goal is to support both our puppies and the families who love them for the lifetime of the dog.
